About the Project
Barrel Cactus Energy Storage (Barrel Cactus) is ideally located in Peoria, Arizona on approximately 14 acres of vacant land, where it interconnects to critical transmission infrastructure at the Salt River Project (SRP) Agua Fria Substation. This facility will provide much-needed energy storage capacity and services to the SRP electrical grid in the Phoenix metro area, enhancing grid reliability and accelerating the integration of locally produced energy.
